Millburn is often considered to be a safe town to live in. CrimeGrade.org, a reliable website that showcases crime trends in any location, stated that Millburn is in the 62nd  percentile for safety compared to all other cities in the United States. When it comes to burglary specifically, for every 1,000 Millburn residents, there are 1.114 burglaries (83rd percentile).  However, in case any resident feels that their home might not be as secure, they can always refer to the Millburn Home Security Assessment Program.

The Millburn Home Security Assessment Program is a program initiative that gives free security surveys to the residents of Millburn. The goal is to find areas of weakened security in homes in order to prevent burglaries. On any given day, a Millburn resident can apply for a Home Safety Assessment Appointment Sign Up and will be notified by a trusted police officer from the Millburn Police Department to do a thorough check-up on their house.

The Millburn Home Security Assessment Program provides a self-assessment checklist that asks questions pertaining to reliable security, from alarm systems to secure garages.
